You have the Right-to-Know.  You Decide

New Jersey Election Commission Report of Political Campaign Contributions made to Mayor Pannullo by the owner of 8 Merry Lane which the Mayor is proposing to convert 8 Merry Lane to a hazardous Industrial Zone from an existing Residential Zone.  So far there are $6,645 paid to Mayor Pannullo from MCC, Inc, who is the owner of the controversial 8 Merry Lane.   Also, an additional $4,640 was paid to Mayor Pannullo from the owner of 8 Merry Lane legal and engineering team.

Were you aware that MCC, Inc has received over $226,000 in contracted work for the Township of East Hanover?   Now, the same owner of MCC, Inc and 8 Merry Lane is having the Master Plan rewritten and a Zoning Ordinance proposed to convert an 80 plus year old residential zone into a hazardous industrial zone. Why is one person is benefitting at the expense of dozens of families in the surrounding residential zone? (Below is documentation from East Hanover illustrating over $226,000 awarded to MCC, Inc.)

You have a right to know.

Follow the money and you decide.

The Mayor, Council, and Zoning Board members are supposed to be a guardian of the town's zoning laws and not allow such arbitrary and capricious deviations from zoning laws which were created to protect residents.

See below who has accepted over $11,000 in political contributions from the industrial developer and his team.

CLICK on their names below to see how much money each public town official accepted.

DO YOU THINK IT'S APPROPRIATE FOR A TOWN OFFICIAL TO ACCEPT MONEY (POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS) FROM A DEVELOPER AND THEN VOTE TO REWRITE ZONING LAWS TO CONVERT AN 80 PLUS YEAR OLD RESIDENTIAL ZONE INTO A HAZARDOUS INDUSTRIAL ZONE IN THE MIDDLE OF PROTECTED WELL-HEAD ZONE (SOURCE OF PUBLIC DRINKING WATER) & ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE WETLANDS?

If you don't think it is appropriate, please tell Mr. Salemme, the East Hanover Zoning Board Chairman, to recuse himself from voting on converting a residential zone into a hazardous industrial zone.

You decide if you think it is coincidence that Mayor Panullo has supported the rewriting of the Master Plan Zoning Laws to single out the conversion of 8 Merry Lane into a hazardous industrial zone from a long-standing residential zone.  You decide if you think it is a coincidence that Mayor Pannullo supported introducing an ordinance to rezone specifically 8 Merry Lane into a hazardous industrial zone.
